The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as key figures in House Halovar could enable the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Fans can expect discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
